SSL Greenwall

SSL's new MSEPlus Greenwall System is a fully functional MSE wall with facing panels that accommodate the soil, root systems and drip irrigation for sustaining ornamental vegetation that will eventually grow to cover the entire wall surface. The bench-shaped precast panels measure approximately 30” h x 16” w and connect directly to the soil reinforcing elements during construction. The wall surface can be placed vertically or in a tiered setback configuration. For non-MSE cut situations, the plantable panels can be connected to soil nail walls to achieve the same plantable Greenwall solution.

Tiered Walls

Choosing between a tiered wall and a vertical wall is an early and fundamental design decision for an MSE project involving a large total vertical drop. In such circumstances, a tiered wall is often the most aesthetically pleasing option because its setbacks, partial heights and progressive contours can better follow and blend into the surrounding landscape while eliminating the potentially intrusive and imposing impact of a massively high wall. For every MSEPlus Tiered Wall project, SSL will perform and provide the required stability analysis and design engineering documents, then supply all materials, sequencing drawings and technical support for the installation.

Full Height Panel Walls

The main advantages of MSEPlus Full Height Panel Walls are speed and aesthetics. For MSE projects with tight schedules, the use of large, full height panels can reduce installation time by as much as half. And the virtually endless array of surface treatments, including vertical joint-masking effects, provide a broader range of potential design effects than conventional stacked panels. SSL’s full height panels are available in 5’, 8’ & 10’ widths and variable heights of up to 40’ with optional custom contoured tops.
