SSL introduces our new plantable wall system which can be used as an MSE wall in a fill situation. The system also has the ability to connect to a soil nail wall in a cut situation. Our ìpark benchî shaped panel size measures approximately 2.5' high by 16 inches in length. The large plantable area will accommodate many different types of plants with drip irrigation running through the pedestals. Eventually, the MSE Plantable wall will take the appearance of a complete green wall.

SSL recently completed a project with Peter Kiewit and Sons in Vancouver , British Columbia which totaled 20,500 square feet. The project owner is the Rapid Transit Project 2000 LTD and the project name is the Grandview Cut Guideway. The wall transitions from a cut situation to a fill with the same facia panel. The contractor was very pleased with the ease of installing the system and achieved between 200-2500 square feet per day including backfill. The system can be built in a vertical position or battered. The ease of construction and the green wall aesthetics makes this new product a very attractive alternative to traditional concrete facing panels or block walls. The versatility of application makes this product usable in almost any situation that requires a retaining wall.
